Connect your bank

Linking a bank lets Nim see and work with your external accounts. There’s no settings screen for it — you just ask Nim in the chat.

Connect a bank

1. Tell Nim “connect my bank.”
2. Nim drops a Connect your bank card into the conversation. Choose Connect bank.
3. Plaid opens — pick your bank and log in with your bank’s own login.
4. Done. The card updates to show your bank connected.

Your bank login stays private

Bank connections go through Plaid, a trusted provider used by thousands of apps. Liminal never sees your bank username or password — you enter them with Plaid, not us.

Some banks send you to their site

A few banks open their own website to confirm the connection. When that happens, finish signing in there — Nim brings you right back to the same conversation and finishes the connection automatically. You don’t need to do anything else.

Reconnecting

If a bank connection stops working later (banks periodically ask you to log in again), Nim shows a Reconnect your bank card. Choose Reconnect bank and sign in again — that’s all it takes.
