Your sign-in didn’t complete or has expired. Start the sign-in again (in Claude Code, run /mcp). If it keeps failing, remove the server and add it back to clear any cached credentials:

Terminal window
claude mcp remove liminal
claude mcp add --transport http liminal https://api.liminal.cash/mcp

Then run /mcp and sign in. claude mcp list should show liminal as Connected.

My assistant says it can’t send money (or a tool is missing)

You probably connected without the Actions permission — so your assistant can read your account but not draft payments or trades. Reconnect and allow Actions at the sign-in screen. See Permissions & approvals.

MCP access uses your Liminal plan, shared with Nim chat. When credits run out, reads and actions pause until they reset — the message tells you when. You’ll be able to use it again after the reset.

“Something went wrong handling this request; try again shortly”

A temporary hiccup on our side. Wait a moment and ask again.

I asked to send money but nothing happened

Section titled “I asked to send money but nothing happened”

That’s expected — your assistant drafts the action; it doesn’t move money. Open the Liminal app and approve the pending request. Requests expire after 10 minutes, so if it’s been longer, just ask again. More on this in Permissions & approvals.

To keep things healthy, Liminal limits how fast a single account can call the server — roughly 240 requests a minute, 120 tool calls a minute, and 10 actions a minute. Normal use never hits these; if you do, pause briefly and continue.

Revoke Liminal’s access any time from the Liminal app — it stops working on the next request. You can also remove the server from your client (e.g. claude mcp remove liminal).

Double-check you’re using the exact server URL — https://api.liminal.cash/mcp — and that your client entry is a remote/HTTP server (in VS Code, that means "type": "http"). See Install & connect for per-client setup.
